Thank you to all of those who came out on Wednesday, January 12th and to those who donated to the Educators For Freedom legal fund. From your efforts we raise $1200!!!
On October 4th, 2021, all NYCDOE employees who had chosen to remain unvaccinated for covid-19 were placed on unpaid leave. We did not know at that time that we would still be standing here over 3 months later still holding the line stronger than ever!
A major source of that strength has been Educators for Freedom, a coalition of NYCDOE employees who were denied religious exemptions, and our supporters. Together we are mounting a historic case against the New York City and its discriminatory covid-19 vaccination mandates. I also want to recognize our ally case led by Michael Kane at teachersforchoice.org who has been sounding the alarm bells since August of 2020.
Wherever this path shall lead, this is just the beginning. We are united and we are building a better world together. Stay tuned for our next event very soon!!!
