I have been thinking about a lot about the proper balance between fighting to save the old system and building something new to replace it. What is the proper balance of energy that should be given to each?
I am leaning ever more towards building something new. We have to keep the energy and unity of the people though and it is often easiest to do that by keeping the group's focus on the enemy; but that is also the downfall because it's distracting....how can we generate the focus and power on building something new? Or, am I missing something that might lead you to a different conclusion.
How about this... What is most constructive? Versus what is most destructive? What is the best way to build (in the old or the new)? What, on the other hand, will lead to neglect, decay? Where are the current strengths in each (the old, the new) and how best can we leverage the strengths to overcome the weaknesses and challenges?
